There aren’t many people I would put in the category of classic rock and roll songwriter but Bob Seger is definitely one of them. I am so grateful that I got to see Bob on his last and final tour. One of the greatest. Truth be told I don’t love everything he recorded but the tracks that I do love are masterpieces which I actually think is the textbook trademark of a real artist that makes original material and releases it. You cant predict completely at the time of composition if something is going to end up being a masterpiece. As far as wordsmiths go I think Bob Seger is right up there with John Prine and company. An amazing singer with a higher than expected vocal range and a wonderful raspy character to his voice. He wrote some great love songs as well. Hope you enjoy some of my favourite Bob Seger clips.
