This performance of fly me to the moon without the mic on is impossible to beat. He is filling the auditorium with his unamplified voice. Absolute master!
I had the privledge of seeing him do this on stage live when he was in his 80’s. One of the highlights of my life, concert going life and human experiences.
I think his voice improved in character and tone. But I love his young voice. If I was tasked with a choice ….don’t make me pick. 🙂
Effortless master with decades of mastery under his belt. Lady Gaga voice sounds slightly thin on this but their harmonies are a delight. Its not lady gagas fault Tony is just that good and the microphone doesn’t lie and cant hide anything.
One closer look the clip above appears to be a first take. The live performance below is better. i want to be clear this is not a slight on lady gaga at all Im trying to hear what is off and I haven’t made up my mind yet.
