What can I say to start off. He is a hero of mine, he is a hero to many. At the risk of sounding romantic his words jump off the page at me. Some magical combination of image, idea, and manner of speaking. I could go on for days about it. At times I wish I had someone to go over Bukowski poems with and talk about. Its probably why I started this whole site in the first place. Oh what joy it would be to sit around and go over Bukowski poems with someone. The rare quality that people who speak their own truth have is that it is both completely honest and revealing and undeniably their own truth because in an instant you can see the common humanity in yourself.
